| Telecommunities should be able to take advantage of quite a few principles inherent in networks. A telecommunity utilizing WATC software can employ principles of small world network theory, and wisdom of crowd concepts for researching, analyzing emerging issues, and help in making decisions . It can harness smartmob concepts, and panarchy concepts. Examples can also be taken from the open source community, that has successfully researched, developed, and deployed robust software that rivals in quality software created by highly paid employees. Information and information products are supplanting industrial goods as the primary drivers of the world. Useful and well managed information will soon be more valuable than money. In fact it already is in some instances. As human civilization becomes more complex, the better that a group can process information about it's existence, the more successfull and sustainable it will be. It turns out that some of the best ways to manage and process information are decentralized, non-hierarchical ways. A "telecommunity" can help people work together in decentralized way, with the aid of computers and networks, to manage the commons and to create wealth and enriching experiences collectively, and to create sustainable solutions to problems of existence collectively. So, I'll be exploring concepts of cooperation, and creating theoretical models that telecommunities use. And, I'll be publishing this info and hoping for feedback. The ultimate goal is to seed telecommunities around the world, and give them the tools they need to succeed, thrive. So, check bak with this WebDB often to see how things shape up. I will be adding research items here, the pulling the together in webdesks with essays to explain how they relate. |
