Technical explanation:

The WebAssistant TeleCommunity platform consists of middleware with an integrated MySQL database that can run on Windows, Mac and Linux servers.
It is offered as hosted solution (you can start using it today on the WebAssistant servers), or on a CD so that clients can install the software on their own server.

All clients connected to this server obtain personal access to a knowledge enabling environment that
  • helps to deal with information overload by creating and processing knowledge 'just-in-time'
  • allows easy and secure management and sharing of knowledge with others
