| 1376 - What kind of tools does a WebAssistant TeleCommunity have? | 02/01/2005 - 11:15:45 |
| Every TeleCommunity has a coherent collection of tools that can be used to organize information in context, and to support your unique workflows. 1. WebDB (WebDataBase) The WebDB is a personal web-enabled database in which you can store and organize all your digital content. WebDB-items or 'knowledge atoms' can form the basis of other WebProducts, such as WebLists, WebPresentations, WebDesks etc. To learn more about the WebDB, click here. 2. WebPresentations WebPresentations are online slide shows (like this one!) that can be created based on the WebDB items or WebDesk content you have stored. To learn more about WebPresentations, click here. 3. Interactive WebSites Every TeleCommunity account comes with its own Website generator, for dozens of websites with thousands of webpages. To learn more about Interactive Websites, click here. 4. WebDesks A WebDesk is a thematic knowledge context that enables you to store hundreds of links in a limited space. As such it can be used as management dashboard in many ways. To learn more about WebDesks, click here. 5. Template based pages In WebAssistant Knowledge Portals any workflow can be customized with the use of pre-designed templates. To learn more about Template based pages, click here. 6. WebWorkspaces WebWorkspaces are wiki-like online collaboration spaces with a few extras. They can be used by specific TC-members in a secure way, enabling them to work on the same webpage, saving all revisions made, and notifying all participants by e-mail. WebWorkspaces can also be published for use in the walled TC or on the WWW. 7. The Members Area (Knowledge Center) and TeleCommunity Exchange This is where everything comes together; where community meets knowledge management in an informal or formal marketplace. To learn more about the Knowledge Center and TeleCommunity Exchange, click here to visit the WebAssistant TeleCommunity Exchange. 8. WebMessages The TeleCommunity platform guarantees 100% spam-free messaging between all participants of the TeleCommunity. Featuring automatic archiving of all sent messages, you are sure never to lose any valuable mail. You can also easily attach any other WebProduct to your WebMessage. Use drag-and-drop to select your addressees from a list. 9. The WebStore This optional module allows TeleCommunity users to trade WebProducts and 'hours' in exchange for virtual and/or real currencies. To see a demo WebStore, click here. 10. WebTrainings WebTrainings are made with the optional WebTraining module and enable measurable eLearning. Both trainee and trainer can follow the progress that is made. To see a demo WebTraining, click here. 11. WebProjects The optional WebProjects module enables one or more project managers to describe and run complex projects, cooperating with a group of participants to which tasks are assigned. Tasks can be accepted and negotiated. If accepted, they are listed and sorted in the user's Task List. WebProjects also offer integrated Gantt-charts. For a WebProjects demo, please call. 12. WebConversations Like many of the other WebProducts, WebConversations can be private (for TC users only) or public (for the WWW). Anyone can start a WebConversation and invite others to participate. Public WebConversations are published on the WebConversations-page. Even though it is possible to easily link WebConversations to other WebProducts such as WebWorkspaces, all private WebConversations are conveniently bundled in one place. 13. WebCharts The WebCharts module works in a similar way as a spreadsheet wizzard, but then online. You can create dozens of WebCharts in 2D and 3D, from various bar charts to radar charts. Easily save your charts to your WebDB, for re-use in many other WebProducts, such as WebPresentations and WebWorkspaces. 14. WebSlides Featuring the latest in Ajax technology and java bulk upload, the WebSlides module enables users to quickly upload series of images that can be used to make online slideshows. Simply drag and drop the images in the right order, and publish your slideshow so you can share it with others. Like all public WebProducts, public Slideshows are automatically added to your WebProducts portfolio (WebPort). 15. WebContacts WebContacts is an easy to use contacts organizer, that also enable you to send e-mailings to groups of users, as defined by you. To easily fill your WebContacts, import your contacts from popular applications such as Outlook or Mail, or use any of the standard import formats. 16. WebCalendars For an online personal or group calendar, you can use the WebCalendars module. With the ability to compare shared WebCalendars, MeetingPlanner allows you to quickly schedule meetings that take into account each the WebCalendars of various people.
