Road map of the TeleCommunity platform
Here we share some of the work in progress:
Multilangual support: a system is being put in place which will make it possible to make the TC platform available in all languages
A cluster version of the TeleCommunity platform is currently operational. It features the ability of one 'SuperAdmin' to create and manage many TeleCommunities (amount is only limited by server specs)
Other milestones:
- support for Unicode 8, enabling the use of differerent languages with special characters
- support for CAPTCHA
- latest modules:
- Traces gives users feedback/signals about what's happening.changing in the community (TCX) and a user's WebPort
- WebContacts offers you flexible ways to manage your address book online, save contacts in groups, send them a message etc.
Now with the ability to create instant photo walls and verification by the contacts themselves - WebPages allows you to upload complete webpages and even sites, and integrate them in your WebPort
- WebCharts allows the easy creation and storage of charts that can be saved to the WebDB for inclusion in different WebProducts
- WebPhotos allows the easy upload and processing of images in online slideshows
- TC-in-a-box version with all software on 1 Mac mini, with the Apache web server and MySQL database
- optional automated back-up in RAID or to an external server
- easy install procedures on Windows, Mac and Linux servers
Also available: WebTeams, allowing groups of TC members to be defined for applications such as quick collaborative editing and various other cooperative practices.
Other stuff on our agenda:
- TCX 2.0: making the TeleCommunity Exchange more like a 'market'. The Traces module was the first update.
To see what 'is for sale' we'll also be adding a WebPhoto-list with thumbnails. Thinking about a special WebPhotos account for the TC Admin... - export of WebContact groups
- more AJAX integration
- more support files, video tutorial, ...
- extraction of images in webpages with auto-rerouting
